The Comedy Series Brassic Calls it a Day with Tarantino-Inspired Last Episode

Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are bringing the curtain down on their comedy series about a tight-knit bunch of endearing rogues running riot in a countryside town in Lancashire. One could anticipate the finale to be a nostalgic highlight reel of booze, drugs and cheeky thievery. But, the vibes are distinctly darker as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the crew barricade themselves in a pub with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

The Show Dragons' Den

Ballet dancers leap into the den this week, as mothers Laura and Stacey pitch their range of inclusive dancewear – and send Peter Jones into a spin. Next, an eye surgeon turned inventor has a smart device for lost tape ends.

The Series All Creatures Great and Small

9pm on Channel 5
The veterinary adventures are all fine, but this superior period drama proves its worth with tender character work. The Hack

It’s been a long road. Yet the second-to-last episode of this initially sluggish but eventually gripping phone-hacking drama sees David Tennant’s Nick discovering details about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply can’t ignore. The situation improves for the character Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK

9pm, BBC Three
Prepare for enthusiastic gestures: it’s time to stage Peter Pansy – The Rusical! That means the pressure is on for the queens to sing, dance, act and ultimately slay as they get ready for the show. And who better to guest judge than renowned West End star Mazz Murray, alongside the panel including Graham Norton, Michelle Visage, and RuPaul.

The Series The Iris Affair

9pm on Sky Atlantic
Those with a phobia of creepy crawlies will want to fast-forward as episode six begins, before a tense standoff, reminiscent of a Mexican or Sardinian scenario occurs, when Cameron compels Iris to exchange her journal for the hostaged Joy – else she’ll be “riddled with bullets” from Meski’s menacing drone … How to get out of this one?
