Trio Named as Finalists for Young Sports Personality Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Athlete of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.
This year's winner will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be televised from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Luke Littler

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
